The Alyeska shopping isn’t particularly extensive so your credit card may get a little reprieve (and you can spend the extra dollars on dining out instead!).

Alyeska Ski Shops and Snowboard Shops

Alyeska Mountain Sports in Hotel Alyeska is a decent sized ski and snowboard shop, with a main focus on ski and snowboard accessories, apparel and outerwear. The shop also has a small amount of hardwear.

The Powder Hound ski shop at the base of the Alyeska Resort near the Sitzmark Bar and Grill, is a smorgasbord of skis, backcountry gear, and clothing and accessories. This is also a great place to buy ski boots considering there’s a good boot fitter and its ski-in ski-out location, so it’s easy to get minor adjustments made. Whilst the Powder Hound shop has ski and snowboard rentals, the primary retail focus is on skis.

General Shopping Girdwood

Hotel Alyeska has a small shop selling snacks, sundries, basic Alyeska and Alaska souvenirs, and beverages. The hotel also has a boutique selling upscale apparel and gifts.

Grocery Shopping

Crow Creek Mercantile in the town of Girdwood is a small grocery store. If you’re staying in a condo with a kitchen, you may wish to buy supplies in Anchorage because the Girdwood grocery store is rather expensive.
